Lanikai Beach is a straight sandy beach, with intermittent seawalls. Swimming is safe along the entire beach. The sandy ocean bottom is shallow and inshore waters are well protected by the Mokulua Islands and offshore reef. Nothing can compare with the sunrise and moonrise as seen from Lanikai.
